System requirements
Both the internet and installed versions of Jed run in a web browser:
- Jed is optimised for use with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or higher. It has also been tested with IE 5, Firefox 4, and Safari 5.
- Adobe Flash Player 9 or later is required for the optional videos.
If you wish to install Jed:
- Windows XP or greater (including Vista, Windows 7).
- Hard disk space: 400Mb or 1.6 Gb with videos.
Technical support
The Job Explorer Database (JED) is designed to run on computer networks, individual machines, and laptops. You can also use Jed from the Internet without installing anything (Internet version does not include localising).
Jed has been designed for use on a variety of operating systems and network configurations, including Windows Active Directory, RM Connect, Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Our careful design and thorough testing aims to provide you with easy and trouble-free installation and use.
