Add the link as a 'Favorite' to the client browsers using the Group Policy of your Active Directory
This can be a straightforward way of setting up the link for all logged-on users if you are running Windows Active Directory on a Windows 2000/XP/2003 network configured as a Windows Domain.
- Use the Group Policy management console to look at the properties of the relevant Organisational Unit (OU). Typically this will be your local Domain name, located near the root of the tree of Users and Computers.
- Find your way down the navigational tree to [Tree Root] > User Configuration > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer Maintenance > URLs > Favorites and Links.
- Double-click 'Favorites and links (or right-click it and choose Properties) to bring up the Favorites and Links dialog box.
- Click on the 'Add URL' button to add a link for the product, with appropriate http:// URL and suitable name.
This link will then appear in the Favorites section of the Internet Explorer of everyone who subsequently logs on to your Domain.
